Pharos Overwatch · Industry and infrastructure
Theft answered before the line goes down.
Cable, copper and equipment theft takes a site offline in minutes and costs far more than what was stolen. A Pharos station on site is over the alarm in under two minutes, and every flight writes evidence that holds up afterwards.
The problem
The loss is the outage, not the cable.
Substations, solar plants, mines, rail and ports are big, remote and full of things worth stealing. A trip at 2am usually means a guard drives out to look, and by the time anyone arrives the damage is done and the site is down. The camera footage rarely shows enough to act on.
- Cable and copper theft that takes the site offline
- Long perimeters and servitudes that guards cannot cover at night
- Alarms that could be theft, an animal or the wind
- Footage that does not hold up with insurers or in court
What we offer
What the station does for you.
An alarm, beam or camera trips and the aircraft goes up. The pilot tells your control room what is actually there before a vehicle leaves.
Perimeters, servitudes and the stretches of line a station reaches, flown on a pattern nobody can time.
Airborne in under 60 seconds, overhead in under two minutes, with the pilot talking your response onto the spot.
Sealed footage and flight logs with a chain of custody, and an incident report after every incident.
An example night
A night on a substation.
How one station answers an alarm at a remote site. The times are an example.
- 01:52A perimeter beam tripsThe station launches on its own. The control room sees the alert and the live feed on the screens they already use.
- 01:54Overhead in under two minutesThe pilot finds two people at the cable trench inside the fence and a vehicle outside it. The control room calls your armed response.
- 02:05Response talked inThe pilot guides the vehicle to the trench and follows anyone who runs. Nothing on the site has gone offline yet.
- 02:30Evidence sealedFootage and the flight log are sealed with the pilot, station, time and position. The incident report follows.
Where theft hits
The assets we plan around.
The site assessment maps each of these on your ground.
Copper and cable are the main target. Trenches, cable routes and combiner boxes are patrolled and watched on every alarm.
Transformers, breakers and the substation yard, watched at night and checked for condition by day.
Lines, pipelines and rail within reach of the station are flown on a pattern nobody can time.
Equipment yards and stores, where theft is often planned from outside the fence over several nights.
How we do it
How it works on your ground.
- 01A station inside your perimeterPlaced for the assets that matter most and the routes people use to reach them.
- 02Linked to what you already runYour alarms, beams and control room connect to the station, so the aircraft answers the same triggers your guards do.
- 03A licensed pilot on every flightOur 24/7 operations room flies and supervises, and calls your control room the moment something is confirmed.
- 04Night watch, day inspectionThe same station can fly condition checks by day, on one bill.
Built by Pharos
Our own software, working for you.
The aircraft and station are DJI hardware. What makes them one service is software we wrote ourselves. Here is what it does for you on this kind of site.
Our own link between the station and the alarm panels, beams and electric fences you already run. When a zone trips, the aircraft goes up on its own. Nobody has to pick up a phone first.
Our bridge puts the live feed and the incident into the monitoring software your control room already uses. Your operators stay on their own screens and do not learn a new system.
Our evidence chain seals every clip and every flight log the moment it is captured, with the pilot, station, time and position attached. If anything were changed afterwards, it would show.
What you get
What lands with you.
- A live feed into your existing monitoring during every incident
- Sealed evidence with flight ID, times, pilot, station and position
- An incident report after every incident
- Optional daytime inspection of the same assets
Questions
Industry and infrastructure, answered.
Can it cover a line or a servitude, not just a yard?
It covers the sections within the aircraft's reach from the station. The site assessment maps the exact stretch.
Does it work with our existing security company?
Yes. It verifies alarms for your armed response and talks their vehicle onto the spot. It makes the contract you already pay for work better.
What happens during load shedding?
The station keeps running without mains power, and the connection has a backup path when the main one drops.
Who sees the footage?
Only the people you name. It is handled under POPIA and kept for the period in your service agreement.
