A farm seen from above, fields, dams and sheds

Pharos Data · Agriculture and irrigation

See your water before you lose it.

Water is the input nobody can afford to waste. From the air, and in thermal, a burst line, a blocked row or a waterlogged corner shows up long before it shows in the yield. The station that guards the farm at night checks the farm by day.

The problem

Problems in the field hide until harvest.

A farm is too big to walk every row. A leaking line, a blocked dripper row or a pivot that is not delivering looks fine from the road. By the time the crop shows it, the water and the yield are gone.

  • Leaks and blockages found weeks late
  • Dams, troughs and reservoirs that are hours away to check
  • Storm and hail damage with no clear record for the insurer
  • Gaps in orchards and vineyards counted by hand

What we offer

What the station does for you.

01Irrigation checks in thermal

Wet ground reads cooler than dry ground. Leaks, blocked rows and uneven pivots stand out on the thermal map.

02Dams, troughs and reservoirs

Levels, walls and water points checked from the air on a schedule, without a drive to each one.

03Gaps and counts

Missing trees and vines mapped from above, block by block, so replanting is planned from a map, not a clipboard.

04Storm and hail records

The station goes up after the storm and records the damage, dated and positioned, for you and your insurer.

Across the season

What the station does through the year.

The same station, working with the farm calendar.

01Before planting

Lands mapped, drainage and wet corners marked, dams and water points checked.

02Through the growing season

Thermal irrigation checks for leaks, blocked rows and uneven pivots.

03After storms

Hail and wind damage recorded the same day, dated and positioned, for the insurer.

04Before harvest

Gaps in orchards and vineyards mapped block by block for replanting.

How we do it

How it works on your ground.

  1. 01One station for the farmThe same station that patrols the camps at night.
  2. 02Flights at the right time of dayThermal irrigation checks are flown when the ground shows the difference best.
  3. 03The same lines every timeRepeat flights compare with the last, so a new wet patch or gap stands out.
  4. 04A map you can act onFindings pinned on the map with a photo, so the team drives straight to the problem.

Built by Pharos

Our own software, working for you.

The aircraft and station are DJI hardware. What makes them one service is software we wrote ourselves. Here is what it does for you on this kind of site.

Pharos softwareFrom flight to report, the same way every time

Our media pipeline checks, sorts and processes every capture as it comes off the aircraft. Each report is built with the same method as the last one, so month on month the numbers compare.

Pharos softwareOne system, not a pile of apps

Our own software sits between the DJI hardware and everything above it. The station, your alarms, the pilots and the reports run as one system, and it is ours to maintain.

Pharos softwareEvidence that holds up

Our evidence chain seals every clip and every flight log the moment it is captured, with the pilot, station, time and position attached. If anything were changed afterwards, it would show.

What you get

What lands with you.

  • A thermal irrigation map with problem spots marked
  • Water point and dam checks on a schedule
  • Gap maps for orchards and vineyards
  • Dated storm damage records for your insurer

Questions

Agriculture and irrigation, answered.

Can you measure crop health?

We work with thermal and colour imagery, which shows water, gaps and damage clearly. We do not offer multispectral crop health indices, and we say so up front.

When are thermal irrigation checks flown?

When the temperature difference between wet and dry ground is clearest. We schedule it for your crop and soil.

Is this the same station as the security one?

Yes. By night it patrols, by day it surveys, on one bill.

How big an area can one station cover?

The free site assessment maps what one station covers on your farm.
