A residential estate seen from above

Pharos Overwatch · Residential estates

A layer above your guards.

Estates run on guards, cameras and a perimeter wall. What they lack is a view of the whole estate at the moment something starts. A Pharos station answers every alarm from the air in under two minutes, so your guards go to a confirmed position instead of a guess.

The problem

Too many alarms, too little to go on.

Perimeter beams and fence alarms trip all night: wind, animals, the odd real intruder. Each one sends a guard or a vehicle out. Most are nothing, and after enough of them, response slows down on the one that is real.

  • False alarms that wear out your guards
  • A long perimeter wall with blind corners
  • Response to the wrong spot while the real one moves
  • Residents who want security without being watched

What we offer

What the station does for you.

01Alarm verification

A beam or fence alarm trips and the aircraft goes up. The pilot confirms what is there before a guard leaves the gatehouse.

02Perimeter patrols

The wall and fence flown on a pattern nobody can time, through the hours the estate chooses.

03Guidance for your response

The pilot talks your guards onto the exact position and follows anyone who is moving.

04Evidence packs

Sealed footage and an incident report after every incident, for the estate, SAPS and insurers.

An example night

A night on the estate.

How a station works with your gatehouse through a night. The times are an example.

  1. 20:10Wind on the north wallA beam trips. The aircraft is up and overhead in under two minutes, and the pilot sees nothing but branches moving. No guard leaves the gatehouse.
  2. 00:40Someone on the wallA fence alarm on the east side. The pilot sees one person drop inside and move towards the houses, and calls the gatehouse at once.
  3. 00:42Guards go to the right placeThe pilot talks your guards onto the exact position and follows the person on thermal until they are stopped.
  4. 00:55The report is readySealed footage and the incident report go to the estate, and to SAPS if you need them.

Private by design

Security without watching residents.

Estates want security, not surveillance. The station is set up for exactly that.

01Perimeter first

Patrol routes follow the wall, the fence and the common ground, not people's gardens.

02Named people only

Footage goes only to the people the estate names, and is kept for the period in your agreement.

03Clear signage

We help you put up the signs and notices POPIA expects, so residents and visitors know what is watched and why.

04Rules the HOA can read

Where the aircraft flies, when, and who sees what is written down for your trustees before the station goes live.

  3. 03A licensed pilot on every flightOur operations room supervises every flight, 24/7, and calls your control room when something is confirmed.
  4. 04Private by designThe patrol watches the perimeter, not residents' homes. Footage goes only to the people the estate names.

Built by Pharos

Our own software, working for you.

The aircraft and station are DJI hardware. What makes them one service is software we wrote ourselves. Here is what it does for you on this kind of site.

Pharos softwareStraight into your control room

Our bridge puts the live feed and the incident into the monitoring software your control room already uses. Your operators stay on their own screens and do not learn a new system.

Pharos softwareYour alarm launches the aircraft

Our own link between the station and the alarm panels, beams and electric fences you already run. When a zone trips, the aircraft goes up on its own. Nobody has to pick up a phone first.

Pharos softwareEvidence that holds up

Our evidence chain seals every clip and every flight log the moment it is captured, with the pilot, station, time and position attached. If anything were changed afterwards, it would show.

What you get

What lands with you.

  • A confirmed position before anyone rolls
  • Live video on your gatehouse or control room screens
  • Sealed evidence and an incident report after every incident
  • Fewer call-outs for nothing

Questions

Residential estates, answered.

Will it film residents?

The patrols are planned around the perimeter and common ground. Footage is handled under POPIA and goes only to the people the estate names.

Does it replace our guards?

No. It makes them better. Guards go to a confirmed position instead of checking every beam on foot.

How does it connect to our control room?

Through our bridge into the monitoring software you already use, so your operators stay on their own screens.
